Texas Tech leading charge in irrigation research to combat drought, aquifer use

LUBBOCK, Texas — Most of Lubbock County is considered in a moderate drought, a trait of a warmer and drier year than normal. Seasons with less rain can put a strain on groundwater resources, like the Ogallala Aquifer. Texas Tech University is researching how farms can get the most out of every drop of water.
