Central Texas lakes healthy, aquifers still falling heading into winter

AUSTIN (KXAN) – July 2025 is one many will never forget. It was a summer of heavy rainfall and flooding in Central Texas. Lake levels rose to their highest levels in years. However, not all water systems are recovering equally.
