Lawsuit over water pipeline in Brazos County could portend Bell County’s future

…. Georgetown, a fast-growing city, has finalized plans for a $1 billion pipeline to siphon millions of gallons of water from private wells that are tapped into the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer’s abundantly-producing Simsboro Formation lying beneath Brazos and Robertson counties. The water then will be transported via pipeline to meet the needs of Georgetown’s water customers.
