Texas drought conditions worsen while Amarillo water supply outmatches Austin for the first time in decades

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Water Development Board reported that drought conditions across the state worsened overall for the first time in five weeks, according to the most recent “Water Weekly” update. Further, officials noted that for the first time in more than 23 years, water supply reservoirs in Amarillo were in better condition than those in Austin.
